It is easy to get a tourist, short-term or long-term business visas for international visitors to Vietnam – a country definitely not just worth living and visiting, but also doing business.

Getting Vietnam visa guide
At the moment, foreigners have 3 common ways to get a Vietnam visa including applying for a Vietnam visa at the local Vietnam embassy, Vietnam visa on arrival, and Vietnam Evisa.
Vietnam visa at local Vietnam embassy
This can be considered a traditional method to get a Vietnam visa. Applicants will need to go back-and-forth to the local Embassy in person or send by post to submit all documents and then receive the results.
When applying for a visa at the Embassy, the visa fee will be nonrefundable no matter whether your Vietnam visa is issued or not. Moreover, the required documents and procedures at different Embassies/ Consulates may vary so applicants are highly recommended to contact directly with the Embassy for more details.
Submitting a Vietnam visa at the local Embassy also means you have to part with your original passport as well as cover other expenses like travel costs, printing materials costs, etc. while having no idea if your visa is approved.
Vietnam visa on arrival
Of all 3 ways of getting a Vietnam visa, Vietnam visa on arrival is seen the most reasonable and convenient.
With Vietnam visa arrival, applicants can stay in the country from 1 month – 3 months single/multiple entry up to 1 year multiples entries (US citizens) with both tourist and business purposes.
Applicants will have to submit no printed documents but send a trustworthy, secured Vietnam visa application form online, receive a Vietnam visa approval letter via email after 2 working days (normal processing, tourist purpose), and then finally get a visa stamped on passport at Vietnam International Airport.
Just a little reminder: Vietnam visa on arrival is available for those who enter Vietnam by AIR only so make sure you will take a flight to one of five airports including Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat, Cat Bi, Da Nang, Cam Ranh Airport.
Unlike applying for a visa at the Embassy, visitors will pay 2 kinds of no-hidden fees when obtaining a Vietnam visa on arrival. Service fee will be paid online for the service provider once you submit your application form while stamping fee will be paid in cash for the Immigration Officer at the airport.
Although the Vietnam visa approval letter is legitimately issued by Vietnam Immigration Dept, applicants can not apply directly but via another service provider. So that’s why you have to pay the above mentioned service fee. And, of course, if your application is declined, this amount of service fee will be refunded back (depending on certain case).

Vietnam Evisa

The fee for getting a Vietnam Evisa can be cheaper; however, this amount is also not refunded when Vietnam visa application is rejected.
