About Asia’s Nomad

Mekong Delta experience - Asia's Nomad on the boatHi, I am Huong Nguyen, the lady boss behind Asia’s Nomad – Travel + Lifestyle + Business blog.

I am a travelpreneur, travel blogger, and digital nomad. I have been to 30+ countries in Europe and Asia, and still counting.

How traveling has inspired and guided me throughout my career

In 2011, II bought a one-way ticket from Vietnam to Finland in and started my nomadic journey. Ever since, I have lived and worked in Finland, Poland, and the Netherlands. In 2015 after graduation, I decided to embark on a 7-month long Europe trip during my Gap Year adventure. Towards the end of the trip, I started Asia’s Nomad Travel blog as a modern diary where I share personal stories of my business, travel, and lifestyle.

What I do for work to keep myself on the road

For the past 7+ years, I have been working in travel writing and content marketing for different organizations in tourism and hospitality across Europe and Asia. In 2015, a few months after my graduation, I decided to quit my job in marketing, leave Helsinki to explore Europe and become a full-time blogger. After 5 years of living abroad, working as a digital nomad and traveling all over Europe, in 2016, I decided to move back home from Europe to Asia to set my new home-base in Hanoi.

In 2017, I started my business venture called CoXplore (previously Go Explore community project), a travel startup specialized in remote retreat experiences dedicated to wanna-be digital nomads in Vietnam. Nowadays, I travel and work with a community of entrepreneurs, remote workers, professionals, and digital nomads who share the same lifestyle like me. We develop a workspace membership application that gives users access to our partners’ network of collaborative workspaces (coworking spaces, cafes, open spaces) with just one pass.
